"For two thousand years, Christian art has been depicting the salvation history of the "incarnated Son of God" in a unique variety. This pictorial tradition is part of the collective memory of our culture. I let myself be guided by simple questions: which pictures in this vast fund of Christian Art touch me? Which artworks speak to me, ring true within me? As a contemporary artist, how am I going to tell the story of Händel's Messiah?"
