The Swiss painter Albrecht Schnider is as shy as he’s versatile. What distinguishes him is his vast experience of 30 years of artistic creativity. Therefore, the film "Albrecht Schnider - Bis das Bild mich anschaut" does not only deal with the intimate, occasionally agonizing struggle for every picture, but also with the very personal act of perception itself. The art world has changed as radically as the ways of social perception and hence we ask: How up to date is the strive for the „truth“ of a painting? Does the digital media overload still allow a close look at a picture and its reflection in our own sensations?
