Andreas Weber is a filmmaker and cultural event organiser.
He studied media studies and German literature at the University of Basel. Through the realisation of numerous commissioned films and fictional short films, he acquired a solid foundation in the art of filmmaking. Meanwhile, he primarily works in the realm of documentary filmmaking, serving as a producer and editor. He is also interested in the spatial implementation of audiovisual content in installation or scenic contexts. His affinity for video technology is also evident in post-production and in the digitisation of historical video formats. In addition to his role at point de vue, Andreas is also actively involved in the cultural scene of Basel. He served as the program manager for the Basel Festival of Sciences "science+fiction" from 2015 to 2020.
At point de vue, Andreas holds the position of Managing Director and is also responsible for production and services.
