Lea works as a filmmaker, artist in the Fröhlicher-Hegetschweiler collective and cultural mediator. In 2012, she completed a Master of Arts in Art Education at Bern University of the Arts and a Master's Minor in Art History at the University of Bern. She has been a cooperative member of the film production company “point de vue” in Basel since 2019.
As a director and producer, she has realised several documentary films with a thematic focus on community and the built environment. She also runs “Kultur macht Schule” projects and runs film workshops at various schools. With her works and projects, which often pursue participatory approaches, she opens up spaces of possibility - for re-action, for involvement. Lea Fröhlicher's work ranges from artistic, sometimes collaborative production, film, art education and curation. In these diverse fields of activity, she is always looking for inspiring connections and interfaces.
At point de vue, she is responsible for production and communication and works as a freelance author and director.
