FRITZ HAUSER_SOUND EXPLORER A journey into the musical world of Fritz Hauser. We follow the drummer, performer, composer and sound explorer during the creative process of three different projects: working on a solo performance together with the director Barbara Frey, producing a musical sound composition with the team of Radio Studio DRS 2 and developing that composition on stage together with young dancers from all over the world. During moving improvisations with a student we get a glimpse of Hauser's experimental and humorous attitude as a musician. The first musical encounter with Fred Frith, another master of his art, sensitizes the listeners hearing for the unusual world of sounds of the improvised music. The film draws a vivid and immediate picture of the Swiss musician Fritz Hauser as an unmistakable and creative voice of contemporary percussion.
